Reclaim gigabytes of duplicate files on your PC.

superdeduper finds every duplicate on your drive — photos, videos, downloads, that folder of "final_FINAL_v3" — in minutes instead of hours. Built from the ground up for Windows.

Windows 10 & 11 · 64-bit · ~5 MB · No installer required

Built for real-world Windows drives

Other dedupers treat Windows like an afterthought. We treat it like the platform — and you can feel it.

Massively faster scans

Reads your drive in the physical order files are stored, not the alphabetical order Windows shows them. On a spinning hard drive that turns a 30-minute scan into a few minutes.

Instant re-scans

The second time you scan the same drive, it finishes in seconds. superdeduper remembers what's changed and only re-checks the new and modified files.

Reversible by default

Duplicates go to the Recycle Bin, not into the void. Every destructive action asks you to type DELETE first, and archive mode keeps a manifest so you can put files back exactly where they were.

Cryptographically certain

When superdeduper says two files are identical, they are — bit for bit. No more "are these really the same?" — it uses a modern cryptographic fingerprint that's impossible to fool.

Knows real duplicates from shortcuts

Windows can store the same file in multiple places without actually copying it. superdeduper sees through that and won't tell you to delete something that wouldn't free any space anyway.

Verified safe downloads

Every release is cryptographically signed and built in public. You can verify your download came from this exact source code, with a single command. No surprises in the binary.

Three steps. No surprises.

  1. 1

    Scan

Point superdeduper at a folder or whole drive. Watch the progress bar — that's it.

  2. 2

    Review

Browse duplicate groups, see exactly which copy will be kept and why. Override anything you don't agree with.

  3. 3

    Reclaim

Send the duplicates to the Recycle Bin, replace them with shortcuts to save space, or archive them with a manifest you can restore later.

⚠ This is alpha software

superdeduper performs destructive operations on files. The defaults are reversible (Recycle Bin, archive with manifest), but bugs can still cause data loss. Always back up first. Test on copies before pointing it at originals. See SECURITY.md for the full safety story.
